Located on the northern shore of Ahmic Lake, Camp Chikopi has offered adventurous summers to campers since 1920! It is our goal and mission to give campers an experience that will improve their lifestyle by developing an advanced harmony with nature, their peers, and themselves. No matter if you are young or old, a camp veteran or a first timer, Chikopi has the power to captivate the spirits of all who play on its sandy beaches and swim in its crystal waters. As Canada’s first sports camp, Chikopi maintains a tradition of excellence and is distinguished by its outstanding sports program. From 14 to 49 days, Chikopi campers are accustomed to quality lessons and unforgettable adventures!

Founded in 1920 by Matt Mann, who believed that children learned better “away from home,” in a wilderness environment, where it is easier to learn by example, where boys teach each other how to get along. Matt believed he had the ability for a special kind of camp teaching – one that teaches the value of sport as sportsmanship and competition. “The Golden Rule in action.”
