Camp Chikopi

While we wait to see if anyone has usable canoe trip photos here are some we took while Teagan and I did a few Algonquin Hiking Trails during the canoe trips.  These are scenes inside Algonquin Park where the boys were canoeing.

Everyone is back on camp after an exciting week on canoe trips.

David, who resides in England as he studies at Eton, swam the English Channel on July 25th in a time of 10 hours and 18 minutes.

Camp Chikopi is out on Canoe Trips.  We will be back on camp Friday for dinner.  Photos and updates will resume then.

Good morning Colette,

First of all I just wanted to thank you, Bob, and all the coaches and counsellors for giving Lee such a wonderful camp experience.  He couldn’t say enough about how much fun he had.  I was very impressed by what I saw when I dropped him off and also when I picked him up.  He made a lot of friends, and he is planning on keeping in touch with them by Facebook.  It was also good for him, as an only child, to be among all those kids for the two weeks.  I am sure he will have another adjustment period now that he is back home where it is so quiet!  He learned so many valuable things, and was able to try out many different sports/activities that he has never had the opportunity to do. It was so great that he was able to get so many swim hours in as well, and I am sure all his hard work will pay off for the upcoming swim season.

Thanks again for everything, and we are hoping to see you again next year!

Thank you so much for making this first camp experience so special for Jarod.  He was so happy and excited about everything he did and learned!  He made special mention of you three and another child.  I don’t think I’ve ever heard that much about anything voluntarily from him EVER!  He is excited about returning next summer and so am I!

We talked to the boys today, they were very happy.  They told us about all the activities they had done. We are very proud of Carlos too, he likes new challenges. We received an email letter from Andres that said that he had made lots of new friends that lives around the world. I believe they are much more integrated and enjoying the camp.
